DODGE CARES, INC. DONATES $60,000 TO FIFTEEN LOCAL CHARITIES

Omaha, Nebraska - Dodge Cares, Inc. will present fifteen local charitable organizations with donation checks today in celebration of the completion of their 2006 fundraising campaign “Creating Hope...from the ground up”. The donation checks, totaling $60,000.00, is the generous amount that came not only from the project, but also from personal donations from agents and employees of NP Dodge and the company itself. The fifteen approved charitable organizations and their representatives include Tammy Evans of Care Corps, Inc., Lea Schierholz of Heartland Family Service-Bellevue, Tina Hubbell of Habitat for Humanity of Omaha, Inc., Margaret Stamp of Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County, Charity Watts of Lydia House, Nancy Schulze of MICAH House, Candace Gregory of Open Door Mission, Diane McKee of Phoenix House, Mike Saklar of Siena-Francis House, Del Bomberger of Stephen Center, Inc., Susan Fortina of Together Inc. of Metropolitan Omaha, Nancy Schulze of Heartland Family Service-Council Bluffs, Rich Coeppen of Mary Catherine McAuley Center, Paul Bryant of Wesley House and Robert Storey of Youth Emergency Services. In February 2006, the “Creating Hope...from the ground up” fundraising campaign began with two homes built in Copperfields, an NP Dodge Development, located north of F Street off of H.W.S. Cleveland Boulevard at approximately 198th Street. Creating Hope involved two of Omaha’s premier home builders, Brau Builders and Jordan Michael Signature Homes. In 2002, NP Dodge Company founded Dodge Cares, Inc., a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation supported by NP Dodge sales associates, employees, companies and community contributors. Dodge Cares, Inc. contributes to qualified nonprofit organizations that provide food, shelter and comfort for the homeless, displaced and abused in Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa.
