Late in 2018 my wife and I were relocating to Omaha from Northern California for a new job and a colleague recommended Deanne Fairfield  based on his previous great experience with her. We scheduled a day to tour Omaha with Deanne and when we first met with her I emphasized that we hadn’t even sold our house in Sacramento yet and since we didn't know anything about Omaha we realized that it may take several weeks to actually find a house. All we really wanted to do for that day was to get to know Omaha and its neighborhoods. Before our first meeting we gave her an idea of the type of home and neighborhood that we were interested in and with that information she had a full day planned for us. The day was not only the tour that we had hoped for, but also insightful lessons in Omaha history, trivia and “gotchas” to watch out for. For the tour she nailed the types of houses and neighborhoods that we were interested in, but unfortunately the kind of house that really interested us, was not in the neighborhoods that interested use; until the last house. She said that she hadn’t originally planned to show us the house in Fairacres, but based on our conversation throughout the day a particular house came to mind; so she audibles a visit and like a veteran pro bowl football quarterback the call was perfect. The neighborhood was exactly what we were hoping for and the moment that my wife walked through the front door she simply stated “this is it”. As we continued our tour of the house she kept reaffirming that opinion with “oh, absolutely this is it!”. Since we started the day with an intention to only get to know Omaha better, yet ended the day with a house to make an offer on (which was eventually accepted), to say that our expectations were exceeded is an understatement.  -Terry Geiger

 

 

Deanne helped us buy our first home in 2017 and we are so grateful for her wisdom and eagerness to help us find just what we were looking for. We had just moved back to Omaha with our two month old and were living with family, so while our need was urgent, she made sure to remind us to keep the long term in mind as we made our decision. Through conversations and meetings, we felt like she understood our wants and desires (and, almost more importantly, what we did NOT want), and was always available to take us to see homes she or we found that were of interest. Many of our friends said they felt undue pressure from realtors to put offers in on houses quickly, and we never felt that with Deanne. She strikes the perfect harmony of professional and personal and we are eternally grateful to her as we are 100% in love with our home! Thank you, Deanne!

 

Deanne was a dream in helping my family make the transition to Omaha from far out of state. She started working with us before we ever set foot in town, and patiently helped us find the perfect home. Deanne's strength was being able to understand exactly what we wanted (and needed) and which neighborhoods were best suited for us. We really valued her wealth of experience, knowledge of the market, and deep commitment to helping us love Omaha as much as she does. We made a friend at the same time as buying a house!
